I currently contribute to the identification and characterization of antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) for a better understanding of their biological role in neuro-immune and anti-infectious responses in humans and invertebrates (J. Immunol 2008 <\/strong>DOI<\/strong><\/a> <\/strong>;  <\/strong>Scientific Reports 2015 <\/strong>DOI<\/strong><\/a> ; Front Immuno. 2020 <\/strong>DOI<\/strong><\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I currently contribute to the development of antimicrobial peptides from extremophilic worms as novel antibiotics against multidrug-resistant bacteria causing infectious lung diseases. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I contributed to the characterization of coelomocytes and hemocytes in invertebrates. Doing so is a first step toward the understanding of immunological processes, in particular of the innate immune responses leading to the secretion of humoral factors such as antimicrobial peptidesin boby fluids. In addition, these cell types can also be markers of adaptation to environmental factors or global warming\u2026(Mol. Life Sci. 2011 <\/strong>DOI<\/strong><\/a>;Sci Total Environ 2018 <\/strong>DOI<\/strong><\/a>; DCI 2024 <\/strong>DOI<\/strong><\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
